NEWS

We are sad to announce the recent passing of Tana, the beloved golden
retriever of Lani and Merrilyn Ritchey.  Tana will be greatly missed be all
of us that knew her.

 
RESCUES
=======
 
New Rescues in September: 16
Chins Adopted last month: 16
Deceased Chins: 1
Chins Available for Adoption: about 12
Total # of Chins in Foster Care: 35
 
We have a number of rescues that are not yet available for adoption for one
or more of the following reasons:
 
- Need a check-up or recheck with our vet.
- Need to gain weight
- Too young to be adopted (less than 4 months old)
- Possibly pregnant
- Being watched for possible dental problems.
- Broken leg

TIPS, INFORMATION, REMINDERS

The autumn is a great time of year to groom your chinchilla.  As the days
grow shorter and cooler chins are preparing for growing their winter fur.
